Some ground rules.

These are set and enforced by the leftlane.space moderators.

1. Respect for All
   Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age will not be tolerated. Engage in good faith, and avoid personal attacks, dogpiling, or targeted harassment.
2. No Extremism or Violent Rhetoric
   Content promoting fascism, white supremacy, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, or any other extremist ideology is strictly prohibited. Calls for violence, threats, or incitement of harm, including against political opponents, are not allowed.
3. No Far-Right Propaganda
   LeftLane.space is explicitly a progressive platform. Content promoting far-right conspiracy theories, disinformation campaigns, or reactionary talking points will be removed. However, individuals with right-leaning views are welcome as long as they engage in good faith, respect the rules, and participate in constructive discussions.
4. No Misinformation or Disinformation
   Do not spread false or misleading information, particularly regarding public health, elections, or other critical topics. Ensure your sources are credible and reliable.
5. Content Warnings
   Use appropriate content warnings (CW) for sensitive topics such as violence, trauma, or explicit material. Failure to do so may result in content removal.
6. No Spam or Malicious Activity
   Spamming, phishing, and sharing malware or malicious links are strictly prohibited.
7. No Content Illegal in Canada
   Left Lane Media Group is proudly a Canadian entity, and LeftLane.space does not permit any content considered illegal under Canadian law. Sharing or promoting illegal, exploitative, or non-consensual content will result in immediate removal and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
8. No Porn
   Porn just doesn’t fit into the mission we’re building here. If you’re looking for that kind of content, the internet is a vast, free marketplace. You’ve got X (formerly Twitter), and plenty of other Mastodon instances where that content thrives. We’re keeping this space focused, disciplined, and true to its purpose.
9. Moderation Discretion
   Moderators have the final say in enforcing these rules. Appeals can be made if you believe an action was taken in error, but abusive appeals will result in additional penalties. We aim to create a welcoming environment for everyone who shares our vision of a progressive, inclusive community. Thank you for joining LeftLane.space!
